What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

These are core beliefs of The Pointe Church, beliefs based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. Our teaching and ministries are rooted in these Biblical doctrines.

God

The Trinity. Though difficult for the human mind to fully comprehend, our one God expresses Himself in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity serves a unique role to bring God glory and accomplish his purposes in the world (Gen 1:26; 2 Cor 13:14)

Revelation

God has revealed Himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, through the Holy Scriptures, and through all of creation itself.

Salvation

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.

Resurrection

Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures. He was buried and He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15)

The bible

We are a people of the Bible—the Old and New Testaments, supernaturally inspired, useful for reproof, instruction, and righteousness. The Scripture is our measure of conduct and practice. Whatever the question, it is the Scripture that informs and defines us.

The Church

The Church is intended to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
